Bipolar Lens
The image I have chosen to show, like some of the work of Mark Rothko, uses only subtle changes in colour to establish a sense of perspective. It is this lack of a clear perspective that suggests to me the experience of poor mental health, something which we can all relate to.

Specifically this image is of a building on the Sir Basil Spence designed campus at the University of Sussex. This campus has been the site of several psychotic episodes of mine that have resulted, like other episodes I’ve had, in being sectioned and put into in-patient care. It has been, literally, the site of my psychosis.
